Ben McLemore Selected to Direct Last Act Theatre Company

Ben McLemore (via LATCO)Last Act Theatre Company is proud and excited to welcome Ben McLemore to its board of producers and artistic team. Ben will be joining Artistic Director Karen Alvarado as the new Co-Artistic Director. 

Ben has worked with LATCo as a director, actor and consultant for multiple productions over the years and brings to the table a wealth of classical knowledge and local experience. Co-Artistic Directors Karen and Ben will collaborate to continue the production of powerful, pathos-driven theatre that embraces local, independent artists in the unconventional venues of Austin, Texas.

 
While Karen is at graduate school earning an MFA in Acting, the duo will work remotely to strengthen and sustain the company's short- and long-term goals.  During this time, Ben will be the primary point of contact responsible for the endeavors of the Last Act Theatre Company.
 
In the spirit of collaboration, the company is also excited to share that it will now be co-producing one show per season with a partner company. More details about this will be coming soon.

And last but not least, we are thrilled to welcome new company members Stephanie Forney and Chelsea Beth Hockaday.
