Letter from the Executive Director

In November, we surveyed our mailing list, composed of Austin-area performers, directors, producers, technicians and avid theatre goers, for candid feedback on the nomination and balloting processes. We received a hefty number of responses with fantastic feedback, but we want to hear more. We are holding a Town Hall Meeting at 7:00, February 8th in the AT&T Conference Room at the Long Center, to discuss other ways we can support the community and improve on the processes already in place. Free parking is available in the parking garage.

Did you know that there are over 110 theatre companies in Austin, Texas, each with its own unique viewpoint? Last month, we requested information from these companies, and we will be featuring a few of these companies with each newsletter in the order received to strengthen our sense of community in our Company Spotlights section. If your organization would like to be included, please send your answers to a few questions to bipcommittee@gmail.com.

We are working hard to support theatre in Austin, Texas, and our door is always open for your candid feedback.
