Allan Baker's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S CONVERSATION to be featured at Annual LGBT Festival in Ontario, September 10-12, 2015

Austin gay playwright Allan Baker's short one act play, A Midwinter Night's Conversation, will be featured in Modus Vivendi Theatre Company's annual LGBTQ Festival of the Arts at the Registry Theatre in Kitchener, Ontario, from September 10th to 12th, 2015.  This will be the first international production of one of Allan's plays.

Synopsis:  "Jamie and Will have been in a loving, comfortable and mutually supportive relationship for years.  But all relationships encounter unexpected challenges.  That's when truth, sensitivity, self-awareness and honesty are most important.  When one of the two is an actor...a very good actor...both the nature of the challenge and how the couple come to deal with it can be...quite interesting."

After retiring and after a decade as a gay rights activist in Texas, Allan began writing plays in 2004. He has since written eleven plays, all with gay characters and themes.  With the premier of A Midwinter Night's Conversation, all of these plays will have been produced, in a total of twenty-one productions and six staged readings, from coast to coast to Guam and now, in Canada.
