San Antonio Alamo Theate Arts Council Awards Photographer Siggi Ragnar the 2026 Jasmina Wellinghoff Award

Celebrating 20 Years of Capturing San Antonio Theatre

Siggi Ragnar Wellinghof award.jpgSince 2006, when he first photographed AtticRep’s The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Siggi Ragnar has been capturing the magic of live theatre in San Antonio. Over the years, he has also photographed numerous ATAC Globe Awards ceremonies, and this year is no exception.

Siggi has worked with many theaters and theatre companies across the community such as San Pedro Playhouse, Wonder Theatre, Teatro Audaz, Classic Theatre, and AtticRep. Through his photography, Siggi preserves the moments and people that make our theatre community special.

In recognition of his dedication to local theatre and the artists behind it for twenty years, the ATAC Board of Directors has selected him as this year’s Jasmina Wellinghoff Award recipient.

About Siggi Ragnar

Siggi Ragnar is an internationally recognized, award-winning photographer celebrated for his mastery of dramatic light, stagecraft, and character-driven portraiture.

Operating at the intersection of live performance and fine art, Ragnar has established himself as a premier visual chronicler of live theater, dance, and performing arts across Texas. His stage photography is distinguished by an instinctive ability to isolate atmospheric nuances of live productions and transform them into enduring visual art.

In portraiture, Siggi approaches talent and theatrical headshots as a true collaborative study in character and presence. Through lighting and specific posing, he is able to capture the authentic essence and emotional range required by working actors, performers, and creative professionals.

While his expansive portfolio encompasses commercial and architectural landscapes throughout the Southwest and internationally, his artistic foundation remains anchored in live narrative, human expression, and the visual drama of the stage.
