Something Wicked This Way Comes is a 1962 dark fantasy novel by Ray Bradbury about two boys, Jim Nightshade and Will Halloway, who confront a sinister, magical carnival that arrives in their Midwestern town of Green Town, Illinois, just before Halloween. The carnival, led by the mysterious Mr. Dark, preys on people's secret desires, offering wishes in exchange for their life force, forcing the boys and Wil's father to fight against this evil.The novel explores themes of good vs. evil, the loss of innocence, and the fear of aging, and is known for its poetic, eerie prose and its classic coming-of-age horror story.
