The Zahir’s dance card is filling up fast for 2026, and you’re invited to cut a rug with us.Our first play Oversight will run at Hyde Park Theatre in Austin, Texas Thursday-Saturday nights July 30-August 22, 2026. It’s a thriller that locks its audience in a legislative conference room to witness secret deliberations, and it’s playwright L.B. Deyo’s followup to his 2025 Apprehension. Introducing The Zahir Nights
The Zahir Nights, a series of showcases with monologues and short plays, kicks off on May 28, 2026 at Nerd Nite Austin, the city’s premiere forum for intellectual fun. We’ll have lecture on the history of theater by L.B. Deyo, a staged reading of Brian Wittenbrook’s short play God of Sun and Light, starring
Danu Mara, and the world premiere of Deyo’s short play When Beggars Die with stars Shannon McCormick and Laura D’Eramo.
Announcing The Egg
We’re thrilled to announce that our second major production, Noah Masterson’s THE EGG, will run from October 29 to November 21, 2026 at Austin’s Rosette.
In Noah’s words, “I’m incredibly proud of this deeply weird dark-magic-comedy, which over the past two years has evolved considerably thanks to feedback from friends and family and numerous table reads—the most recent being just last week. That one cemented for me that this play is really something special and I will never write anything like it again.” Sign up for THE EGG communications: https://www.the-egg-play.com
