(via Alamo Theatre Arts Council)Via the San Pedro Playhouse:

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Jasmina Radović Wellinghoff, Ph.D., a champion of the arts and a beloved pillar of San Antonio's theatre community.

Jasmina's impact on our local theatre landscape cannot be overstated. As theatre critic for the San Antonio Light, she founded the Alamo Theater Arts Council, an organization dedicated to recognizing excellence in theatre production and performance. The council's highest honor, the Jasmina Wellinghoff Award, bears her name in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to our community. Through her insightful criticism, unwavering advocacy for the arts, and commitment to elevating local theatre, she helped shape the very fabric of San Antonio's cultural life.

We are grateful for the foundation she built and the standard of excellence she set for all of us in San Antonio theatre. Her voice, her passion, and her love for the arts will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace, Jasmina. Thank you for everything you gave to the arts and to this community.
