Texas Theatre and Dance presents UTNT (UT New Theatre), showcasing newly developed plays from graduate playwrights. Now in its 19th season, this festival serves as an incubator for new work that speaks to our current time. Titles presented as part of UTNT (UT New Theatre) 2026 include:

A durational, experiential performance following an order of Benedictine monks after the disappearance of one of their own. - A Tale for Home by Chih-Ching Chester Tsai
On stage February 28, March 5 and 8 | Lab Theatre (MAP)
Set on an island and interwoven with myth, memory and migration, A Tale for Home investigates what it means to call a place “home.” - Diet of Worms by Nick Hart
On stage February 28, March 6 and 8 | Oscar G. Brockett Theatre (MAP)
A satirical look into an emergency session of Congress in which senators try frantically to address a 487 quadrillion dollar deficit.
