Cruzar la Cara de la Luna has become a smash sensation around the globe, weaving together the powerful story of a Mexican American family divided by borders yet united by heritage. Featuring the nationally acclaimed Mariachi Campanas de America, this opera promises an unforgettable experience where music and story converge in a celebration of familial bonds and enduring traditions. Thursday, October 3rd at 7:00 PM and Saturday, October 5th at 7:30 PM Music by José "Pepe" Martínez of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán Sung and spoken in Spanish and English with translations projected above the stage. |

This powerful opera is the passionately moving tale of a young Japanese woman's unrequited love for an American sailor. Puccini’s lush score is rich with so many memorable moments it has become a beloved favorite with audiences worldwide. Set against a backdrop of cultural contrasts and the rigid binds of honor, this opera explores the devastating aftermath of love forsaken and the consequences of unwavering trust. Thursday, April 17th at 7:30 PM and Saturday, April 19th at 7:30 PM Music by Giacomo Puccini Sung in Italian with English translations projected above the stage. Madama Butterfly will be produced with The Orchestra of San Antonio presented by Classical Music Institute and in collaboration with Austin Opera. |
