A Classic, Romantic, Backstage Musical
by Richard Rodgers and
Oscar Hammerstein II

We’re excited to bring you a hidden gem from the Golden Age of
Broadway, a feel-good classic musical that offers a chance to discover a
new favorite from the acknowledged masters of the American musical,
Rodgers and Hammerstein

This seldom-performed musical is a traditional back-stage romance
featuring songs like “No Other Love Have I” and “The Big Black Giant;”
songs in the style audiences have loved in shows like The Sound of Music,
The King and I, and South Pacific

Just like those, it’ll leave you smiling and humming the tunes on your way out the door!

The landscape of American theatre is constantly changing, growing, and
discovering ever-new avenues of expression. As your source for all that the theatre arts have to offer, we’re excited to expand the P2K offerings to give our volunteers and our audience a small sample of the newest themes.

The new “Playhouse NOW!” series will search out and bring to life important plays from current playwrights with no holds barred. If you’re looking to hear from new voices and open to new experiences, “Playhouse NOW!” is for you.

Because we know that these plays will not be right for everyone, we’re
offering them separately from our regular Season Package. You can add this year’s “Playhouse NOW!” title - Sarah Ruhl’s thrilling Dead Man’s Cell Phone - to your season package for just $21 per person - the maximum discount our packages offer. See the order form to take advantage of the savings!

A chance meeting in a café leads Jean to pick up a ringing cell phone - and change her life forever - in this award-winning 2007 play that explores the
paradox of modern technology's ability to both unite and isolate people in the digital age.

With performances at some of the most important regional theaters and on Broadway (starring Mary-Louise Parker), this play earned its place in the
forefront of modern Comedy/Drama, and is the perfect title for us to launch our new venture into the avant-garde of the American Theater. Join us!

A Comedy
by Sean Grennan

Spirits are high despite the travails of everyday life when “TJ,” “Mark” and “Richard” reunite for a guy’s weekend in a snowed-in cabin. High spirits, that is, until “Jessie,” the wife of their missing fourth partner, shows up in his place.

An epic battle of wits and stamina ensues, with the men striving to maintain the masculine theme of the gathering despite failing miserably to prove their right to dominate the scene.

From the playwright who brought us Making God Laugh and Now and Then, this clever, charming and multi-level comedy promises an evening of serious laughs.

A Thriller
Adapted by Leslie Darbon

Agatha Christie’s 50th book featured the unforgettable “Miss Marple,” an uncannily effective amateur sleuth, in her very best role. Now, that novel has been adapted for the stage in a fast-paced, often light-hearted mystery-thriller you’re sure to love.

The story begins with an advertisement in the local gazette which reads: “A murder is announced and will take place on Friday October 29th, at Little Paddocks at 6.30 p.m.” Unable to resist the mysterious invitation, a crowd gathers expecting a game which becomes all too real. Miss Marple provides the solution in a dramatic final confrontation.

The fourth play in our biennial Agatha Christie series promises all the thrills, chills, opulence and artistry of And Then There Were None, Witness For The Prosecution, and Murder On The Orient Express.
