A witty tale of bribery, deception, disguise, and of course, true love. Rossini’s comic masterpiece fizzes with some of the most memorable melodies in opera, including the famous “Figaro, Figaro, Fi—ga—ro” aria. Don’t miss Austin-native Lauren Snouffer making her Long Center debut as Rosina and Stephanie Rhodes Russell on the podium.
This dark and brooding, yet sharply comic, story of love, revenge, and meat pies features Kevin Burdette as the wrongly exiled barber and GRAMMY-winning artist Mela Dailey as Mrs. Lovett. Sarah and Ernest Butler Principal Conductor & Artistic Advisor Timothy Myers conducts.
You’ll instantly recognize the famous duet “Au fond du temple saint,” in this heart-rending struggle to the death between friendship and love. Making highly anticipated company debuts are Metropolitan Opera star Will Liverman as Zurga and San Antonio-native David Portillo.
