Way Off Broadway Players of Leander Locates A New Theatre Space

News from Backstage

It's a Theatre ... and It'll Look Like One Soon

This is a photo from the first rehearsal of our melodrama. That big room they're in?
 It's our new theatre!

It doesn't look like one yet, since the buildout hasn't yet begun. But picture this...
  • Blacked-out windows and doors
  • Rows of seats where the cast is sitting in this photo.
  • A stage where the camera is.
  • A lobby on the right-hand side.
  • A fantastic backstage area, visible through the open doorway in the back.
We've been without a building for about two years, so this is an incredibly exciting time!

We Need a Door

Okay ... not that kind of door (though this photo does suit the magic we'll bring to this theatre space!)

We will have to build an exterior door in the new building's lobby.

We're thrilled to have sponsors for building the concession stand, an extra bathroom, and the tech booth.

Now, we're looking for someone to sponsor a door.

If you're open (pun intended) to sponsoring this part or all of our door construction, please reply to this email. Thank you!

Will You Support Our New Facility?

  • Donate. Whether it's $5 or $50,000, we'll deeply appreciate your contribution! (We're a non-profit organization, so your donation is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.) Click here to donate.
  • Sponsor our season. Individual and corporate sponsorships are affordable. Many levels even come with season tickets and/or playbill ads! Check out sponsorship here.

Nuestro teatro es tu teatro!

That means, our theatre is your theatre.

WOBCP will rent out the theatre space to individuals, companies, and other organizations, once our build-out is complete.

If you want to host a party, teach a class, hold church services, perform, or use our theatre or spacious lobby in any other way, please reach out to us by replying to this email.

We can't wait to partner with our community in this space!
