2022-2023 Season, Austin Playhouse

After almost three years of uncertainty, we're celebrating the joy and magic that theatre brings to our lives.

Kicking off the season in November is the hilarious comed, The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong. Agatha Christie meets Noises Off in this fast-paced farce by Henry Lewis, Henry Shields, and Jonathan Sayer.

We follow that with the premiere of a brand-new play. Nightbird by R. Eric Thomas has incredible characters bringing a topical, engaging story to life.

In the spring, Paula Vogel's Indecent, brings us full-circle as we finally produce this brilliant, moving play that was in rehearsal in March 2020.

Closing the season in June is the heartwarming, toe-tapping musical Big Fish with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August.

Throughout the year we'll be adding more programming, special events, and welcoming other groups to our new space. We look forward to celebrating our return to live theatre with Austin audiences for the 2022-2023 Season!
