35th Annual Conference by Association of Performing Arts Service Organizations in Austin May 2 - 5, 2018

 

Austin Creative Alliance is thrilled to host this year’s APASO Conference and set a higher standard for diversity and equity in the local and national Arts industry.  Each year the conference gathers cultural industry experts from across the country to teach, learn, share, and connect over the course of a four day conference.  Attendees enjoy lectures, forums, and cultural experiences - including performances and cuisine - that highlight the current cultural climate.

 

The challenges facing our creative community in Austin apply similarly to cities across the country - specifically, the representation of diverse views and the protection of affordable urban cultural space.  With those challenges leading the discussion, this year’s conference will center around creating equal opportunities for all!   

 

The Association of Performing Arts Service Organizations is an informal group of 60+ organizations from around the world that share a mission of providing services for Arts Organizations and Artists.  Since 1983, APASO has gathered annually to share best practices in professional development, advocacy, marketing programs, and other support for Arts Organizations and Artists.

 

APASO 2018 serves as an opportunity for Artists and Arts Organizations to share common challenges and goals, best practices, and pathways forward!
