Zilker Theatre Productions Appoints J. Robert Moore as Artistic Director and Shannon Richey as Director of Production

Please join the ZTP Board and staff in welcoming J. Robert Moore, ZTP's new Artistic Director! With a background in musical theatre, development, and event planning, Jimmy will be co-leading the team, along with Executive Director Kate Hix, as we focus on our 60th anniversary season, expand our educational outreach, and continue ZTP's 60 year tradition of the Zilker Summer Musical on The Hillside.

Introducing J. Robert Moore as ZTP's Artistic Director

You may remember Jimmy Moore as the Director who inspired us all to follow the yellow brick road during last season's The Wizard of Oz. Under his direction, ZTP's 60th Anniversary production of All Shook Up will be the party on The Hillside we've all been waiting for!

MORE ABOUT J. ROBERT MOORE
Jimmy is proud to be a stage director, actor, and educator. Originally from South Texas, Jimmy holds a B.F.A. in Production and Performance from Texas State University, and has earned theatrical credits with companies across the country. Additionally, Jimmy has studied with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in England. In New York City, Jimmy worked as a professional actor and special events coordinator. He returned to the South Texas community in 2013 to complete his M.F.A. in Directing at Texas State. Jimmy is thrilled to be joining the ZTP family on The Hillside, and continuing ZTP's tradition of excellence with the Zilker Summer Musical.

Also introducing..Shannon Richey as ZTP's Director of Production

ZTP is also thrilled to welcome Shannon Richey as our new Director of Production!

Shannon has spent many summers backstage with ZTP creating the look and feel that audiences look forward to every season in the Zilker Summer Musical. Shannon has served as the Properties Designer on ZTP's The Sound of Music, Little Shop of Horrors, Oklahoma!, and Shrek The Musical. Additionally, this past summer, Shannon expanded her role as a co-producer on ZTP's The Wizard of Oz.  

MORE ABOUT SHANNON RICHEY
During cooler months, Shannon is the Stage Management Instructor at Texas State University, and a member of the Actors' Equity Association. She is also a freelance production and stage manager for local and touring theatre companies. Previous community leadership roles have included working with SummerStock Austin as a Company Coordinator and Stage Management Supervisor. Additionally, she served as a member of the production team for the Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards (GAHSMTA).
