Funding Appeal: Honoring the Late Casey Weed and Helping with Final Expenses; Memorial Service at Curtain Theatre October 1, 2017

Cherie has asked me to let everyone know that a memorial service for Casey is being planned for Sunday, Oct. 1st at the Curtain Theater in Austin, TX. It will be held sometime in the afternoon or evening, so please be on the lookout for exact times. Cherie is asking that everyone wear your best/most creative shoes in honor of Casey’s love of stylish footwear.
This event will be an opportunity for all of Casey’s friends from across the SCA, theater and life in general to remember him, to honor him and tell stories about/share memories of our larger than life friend. Casey was larger than life. He was a loving husband, son, father, friend. He was all that and more. He was a veteran, a knight and a performer who inspired all around him. He was Falstaff, Puck, Dietrich and Hanse. Most of all he was Cherie's beloved husband, her soulmate, her one and only. If you knew Casey, you have some small idea of what Cherie is now facing without him. We, Casey's and Cherie's friends, have set up this campaign to help Cherie with whatever expenses she now faces as she struggles to continue without him. To be honest, we don't know how much to try to raise. What we do know is that anything will help. Thanks.
