(via Mouth Radio)

A new play by Sarah Loucks

Directed by Ann Marie Dorr

Produced by MouthRadio

A mermaid exhibition. A strange lake in the middle of West Texas. Ice cream in a multiple flavors. Crave Blue, a new play by Sarah Loucks, follows the lives of four women who dress up as mermaids to try and pay the bills. When a local man claims to have seen a real mermaid, the exhibit booms, drawing attention to the town and the secret it’s hiding. At once gritty and surreal, Crave Blue uses humor and magic to explore issues of gender, labor, and sacrifice in West Texas.
