Teatro Chicano de Laredo
The Teatro Chicano de Laredo is the latest contribution to a genuine literary renaissance among Mexican Americans. None of this would have been possible without the groundwork laid by the Chicano movement of the 1970s and 1980s, or the current collaboration between Laredo Community College's Institute of Mexican American Studies and the Laredo Little Theatre, or the key role played by local directors, writers and actors.
