Red Nightfall Dance Theatre
Founded by Dorothy O’Shea Overbey in 2017, Red Nightfall Dance Theatre creates films and immersive performances that tell stories of transformation and evolution through dance, music, and visual art.
At Red Nightfall, we believe that the creation of beauty is not the privilege of the pedigreed, but a birthright to us all. We celebrate the process of collaborative creation as an act of beauty itself.
Red Nightfall exists to champion the work of emerging artists, specifically those who have not yet had access to platforms for their work to be shared. We cultivate open and dynamic collaboration, operating on the principle that kindness, integrity and respect allow artists to operate at their highest potential. In the creative process, we seek to establish an equitable, collaborative atmosphere in which all voices are heard, respected, and considered. Red Nightfall is dedicated to devoting the necessary time, effort, and resources to create a world of inclusion, belonging, learning, and growth for artists and audiences alike.
Based in Austin, Texas, Red Nightfall’s events have reached thousands of audience members and have employed more than two hundred Austin performing artists, designers, and technical crew.
