groundswell is passionate about homegrown new play development in and for our Austin, Texas home and its unique, evolving community. We believe that Austin is poised to be a powerful hub in the national new play conversation, and we want to gather the forces around us in order to realize our collective potential as a community. We are cultivating agility in our production and administrative processes, and creating systems to specifically support each project we undertake. We believe that no artist should work for free. Artists who make work with groundswell believe in dramaturgical curiosity, close and rigorous collaboration, and that seeing a play should be a damn good time.
