Entr'acte
The literal translation of entr’acte might be simple enough, but what does it mean for Austin — and for those of us in the capital city who’ve fallen deeply in love with musical theatre?
This year -- 2023 -- we saw an opportunity to bring together professional artists from the Central Texas region in pursuit of musical theatre excellence. In the process, we’ve partnered with award-winning Parker Jazz Club — nestled underground in Austin’s popular Warehouse District — to produce a concert series unlike anything you’ve experienced.
Our signature Entr’acte season offers up three fully realized concerts each year, featuring beloved musical theatre titles that don’t often bask in the limelight. Each concert is a love letter to its musical’s score, bringing new life to songs you know and love while introducing others that might be less familiar. When paired with Parker’s distinctive ambiance, food & drink offerings, and production value, we think you’ll find Entr’acte to be one new experience that’s not to be missed.
We invite you to explore our site to learn more about options to join us for an entire season or an individual concert. Table seating, inclusive of artisanal charcuterie service by Bluebonnet Collective, chilled champagne from the Parker bar, and a commemorative gift celebrating each concert, is available at seasonal rates, as are General Admission tickets to each performance.
An entr’acte might be thought of as the overture to a musical’s second act. In this, our inaugural season, it’s our goal to fuse local talent with lesser-performed musicals in magnificent ways. In so doing, we hope to provide each score its own “second act.” The house lights are dimming; time to find your seat!
