All roles are open for casting including principal and supporting roles for 5 males and 4 females, a chorus of fourteen men and fourteen women, and one speaking role for a boy of about ten years of age. A completed Audition Form is required, and a résumé and headshot are requested if available.
Auditions are approximately ten minutes long. Those auditioning should memorize a song from Gilbert & Sullivan or something similar that will show their voice and range to best advantage. An accompanist will be provided, although singers may bring their own pianist if they wish. People auditioning for the chorus will sing their selection and may have their range and other qualifications tested by the Music Director; people auditioning for principal roles will also read from the libretto with the Artistic Director. Please note that unaccompanied (a cappella) auditions are not permitted, nor are self-accompanied auditions. Public domain versions of the Vocal Score and Libretto are available.
