What began as a concept album, Jesus Christ Superstar morphed into an international sensation. More than fifty years later, the musical still excites audiences and actors alike with its challenging vocals and powerful story. Based loosely on the Gospels account of the final days of Jesus Christ, the musical is as much a retelling of these last days as it is an examination of the character of Judas, the dangers of celebrity, and the pitfalls of fame.

Special Austin Audition to recruit male and female ensemble members for Jesus Christ Superstar
We are holding a special audition Sunday, May 15th to recruit several male and female ensemble members for the Wimberley Players production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Auditions will be held at the Highland Park Baptist Church, 5206 Balcones Dr. Austin, TX 78731 from 2-4 pm. Schedule your 10-minute appointment by emailing auditions@wimberleyplayers.org
Auditionees are asked to prepare 16-32 bars of music from any musical theatre or rock song and bring the corresponding sheet music or digital file. Additionally, please bring a headshot and resume.
Show runs July 8th-31st (Fri-Sun). All performances at the Wimberley Players located at 450 Old Kyle Rd. Wimberley, TX.
