Director Tom Balmos will hold open auditions for the first S.T.A.G.E., Inc. 2014-2015 Season production, SKIN DEEP, a comedy by Jon Lonoff. Auditions will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Krause House Theatre, 1300 Bulverde Road , Bulverde, Texas, 78163-0575
Skin Deep is a funny and sincere play about finding love when one is older, set in one's ways and...ahem...a little rounder than one used to be, serves as a warm and witty reminder that there's no expiration date on a person's ability to love.
Characters Needed: 2 women and 2 men
- MAUREEN MULLIGAN - a large, earthy, attractive, lovable lonely heart; she lives in Forest Hills, Queens, is a devout Catholic and works as a dental hygienist
- SHEILA WHITING (neé Mulligan) - Maureen's very beautiful sister, fashionable, flamboyant and full of advice; she grew up with Maureen and six more brothers and sisters in Queens and went on to marry old Connecticut money and move to New York's Upper East Side; she genuinely wants what she presumes is best for everyone.
- SQUIRE WHITING, JR. - a handsome "government relations" lawyer in a prestigious 'white shoe' law firm; full of charm and self-mocking humor, he doesn't take himself - or much else - too seriously
- JOE SPINELLI - an endearing, lonely guy from Bensonhurst
