The Guadalupe presents New Teatro by SA Playwrights and Teatristas !! Local playwrights, performers and ensembles take the Guadalupe stage and present an evening of staged readings and workshop performances of new works. From drama and comedy to experimental and spoken word, this Teatro SAlon will showcase both emerging talent and veterans of the San Antonio teatro scene. This program is open to participants of all backgrounds and experience levels while placing an emphasis on new works that explore, celebrate, challenge, and further define the Latino, Chican@, and Native American experience.

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center’s Performing Arts program is holding auditions for male and female actors 18 years of age and older from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds for the Teatro SAlon 2016 showcase.

 

Numerous roles are available for six plays (short plays and excerpts) which will be presented Saturday October 29th at 7 pm at the Guadalupe Theater. 

 

Actors should bring a resume and be prepared to do a cold reading from the chosen plays. A monologue is NOT required but actors are welcome to perform one. Rehearsals will take place from October 12th – 28th at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center.

 

AUDITION DATES

Monday Oct 10th 6 pm – 9 pm

Tuesday Oct 11th 6 pm – 9 pm

 

Auditions will be held first come, first served.
