Open auditions for our summer musical, Seussical, will be Sunday & Monday, May 15 & 16, at 7 p.m. at the theatre. There are many roles for men, women and children (first grade and older) and features many of the characters from books by Dr. Seuss. One of the leading characters, JoJo, is a young boy (grades 2-6). Two boys may be cast to share this role.
Auditioners are asked to prepare a brief song (32 bars or less) that shows off their voice. We'll have an audition pianist and a CD player on hand, but you may also bring your own accompanist or CD player. There will also be a simple movement exercise — so wear comfortable clothes.
Applications to work on the crews will also be taken during auditions.
You do not have to be a member of Temple Civic Theatre to audition.
Rehearsals are typically Sunday through Thursday evenings except the weekend before opening night.
Performance dates are July 8-10, 14-17, 22-23. This fun family musical is sponsored by CEFCO.
