Christmas Belles

Oct. 10 - Oct. 11 (2015)
The Georgetown Palace announces auditions for our production of Christmas Belles
It's Steel Magnolias meets tacky christmas sweaters, sisterly devotion and phsycopathery and Elvis at Christmas. The Holidays are hell, but somehow we endure them because we all turn in to a little child at Christmas time, and the wonder prevails, even as it sprinkles our eggnog with madness. Join me please, in putting on a fun, quirky and all too familiar family christmas special, in our new space; the Palace Playhouse.
7 Women and 4 Men. Peruse the script here.
Directed by Jessie Drollette
Stage Managed by Maria Kruger
This show will run from December 4th thru December 20th. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm. Rehearsals will be Monday thru Thursday and some Saturdays. (Sundays could replace Saturdays IF we have an abundance of Saturday afternoon conflicts.) Saturdays won't begin until November.
Auditions will be held Saturday, October 10th from 2:00-5:30pm & Sunday October 11th from 6:00-9:30 pm. October 10th and 11th will consist of monologues and the 12th will be callbacks (by invitation only).
The Audition. I want you all to have fun with this audition, and not stress about memorization. Please prepare a funny family christmas story, OR one of the monologues from the play. Preperation is awesome, memorized is cool too, but if you have a copy in front of you, you will still receive full marks from us!
Please note: If you are considering auditioning for Deputy John Curtis Buntner, Deputy sheriff, please be prepared to showcase your best Elvis moves.
Auditions are scheduled on-line via the Palace website. You’ll fill out the audition form, conflict calendar, and sign up for a time. Please don't submit until you've selected a date AND a time. or your info will be lost!
