Roving Shakespeare's auditions for the May 2015 Roving Ren Show of Shakespeare's Henry VI Part 2 in Austin. Auditions will take place on March 8th and 14th. Alternate times can be negotiated if unavailable for those dates.
All roles are available for casting, and a doubling chart of up to 15 will be cast. Auditioners should come with a prepared one-minute verse speech.
This show is part of Roving Shakespeare's Roving Ren Show series, which uses a shortened rehearsal period and Shakespeare's staging conditions to create a vibrant, novel feeling for audiences.
The rehearsal process will be approximately 30 hours over 5 days, from May 2 - 6. May 2nd and 3rd will be full day blocking and run rehearsals, finishing with two 3-4 hour rehearsal from May 4 - 6.
Performances will be held at 7:30 pm from May 7th - 9th, with a matinee at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 10th.
