TheatreASAP is SATCO’s signature 24-hour play festival that dares local actors, writers, directors, and stage managers to create, rehearse and perform original 10-minute plays in just 1 day. Teams will rise to the challenge and debut their brand-new works in a 1-night-only performance — fueled by pure adrenaline, imagination and teamwork.

This fast-paced, collaborative festival will feature 5 creative teams that will have 30 mins. each to present their plays. Each team will consist of:

  • 1 director
  • 1 writer
  • 1 stage manager
  • 4 actors
  • 1 understudy
We will be accepting submissions from actors directly, and we need 25 performers. Please feel free to encourage actors you know to submit auditions. Our goal is to build the most diverse group of participants possible.

As producers, we’re asking for your help in identifying and sending potential:

  • Actors
  • Writers
  • Directors
  • Stage Managers

A few important notes for participants:

  • SATCO retains the right of refusal for all submissions
  • Writers will be limited to PG-rated content, and must incorporate all 4 assigned actors in a balanced production
  • Anyone participating who is not already a SATCO member will need to become one ($10/annually - click here for membership)

Your support is essential to assembling strong, creative teams for this year’s TheatreASAP. Thank you in advance for sharing this opportunity by registering and sharing the link with your networks to help us bring together a vibrant mix of talent.
