Insomnia Cafe is a darkly comedic meditation on what it means to escape reality. The show follows three people as they fight to create their own world. Their world is their own decaying, low-budget tribute to the classic 90s sitcom "Friends".

MAN
- Gender: Actor comfortable with male presentation
- Age Range: Late 20s-40s (flexible)
- Description: MAN (as called in the script) is the ringleader and someone with a mysterious and traumatic past. But through it all "Friends" has always been there for them. So much so that the three characters decided it may just be better to live inside that sitcom world. No matter how unrealistic that decision is, they're willing to do whatever it takes to keep that reality alive.
