Gaslight - Angel Street

A Victorian thriller where a husband systematically drives his wife insane by manipulating her perception, using gaslight dimming and false accusations, until a detective reveals his murderous past and helps her reclaim her sanity.
Patrick Hamilton's 1938 play Gas Light is a Victorian thriller about a husband who slowly drives his wife to insanity through psychological manipulation. The play, which gave rise to the term "gaslighting," was a major success and was adapted into two famous films, most notably the 1944 version starring Ingrid Bergman.
Boerne Community Theatre will hold auditions for Angel Street on February 1st and 2nd, 2026 at 7:00 pm.
Auditions are open to anyone and will consist of cold readings from the script. Scripts are available at the box office to check out for 48 hours.
Production runs March 26 - April 12, 2026.
