One snowy Christmas Eve three children and their parents take an ill-fated ride to their grandparent’s house. In The Long Christmas Ride Home past and present collide in the back of the family sedan. The play offers brief, illuminating glimpses of the children’s future lives, but always comes back to that one fateful night, the claustrophobic car, and the moment a family shattered. Combining superb storytelling, music and puppetry The Long Christmas Ride Home explores the fragile and fraying bonds of family.
ACC Drama is holding auditions for our upcoming Spring 2025 production of:

Auditions are open to all ACC students and the community. You do not need to be an ACC student to audition.
Roles are uncompensated.
Casting a diverse ensemble of 6 with play calling for 3 male identifying characters and 3 female identifying characters. Character descriptions are on audition form.
Taped submissions will be accepted until 10 PM CST on Sunday, October 27th. Please prepare a 1 ½ -2 minute contemporary dramatic monologue. Please include a resume/headshot.
Callbacks will be in person at 7 PM on TUESDAY, October 29th at ACC Highland Campus Building 2000 Black Box. Callback notifications will be sent no later than Monday, October 28th.

Tentative rehearsal schedule:
1 or 2 rehearsals in fall 2024 (TBD)
Then begin in spring 2025:
January 13th-February 20th, 2025 MTWTH 7:00 PM-10:00 PM
REHEARSALS will be held at Highland Campus Black Box Theatre
PERFORMANCE RUN: February 21st- March 2nd, 2025
Friday & Saturday 7:30 PM
Sundays 2:00 PM
