(via SRT)Judy Moody & Stink: The Holly Joliday

Performance Dates: November 30 – December 22, 2024

Written/Adapted by Griffen McDonald / Based on the novels by Megan McDonald

Judy Moody is making a list and checking it twice, but all her brother, Stink, wants this year is snow. It hasn’t snowed on Christmas in Virginia in more than a hundred years, however, so what are the chances that that will change? Enter the new mailman, Mr. Jack Frost, who not only looks like a jolly old elf but also seems to know a lot about weather patterns, has a fondness for the cold, and works looooooong hours during the holiday season. Plus, it’s the best time of the year, when strange packages and lots of surprises are swirling around, so isn’t it possible that Stink might get his wish? Fans who curl up with this new Moody comedy can be sure that their bellies will shake like a bowl full of jelly.

CHARACTERS:

·       Judy Moody - Judy is smart and likable but can sometimes be a little moody. She is deeply curious about the world around her and faces life with both a lot of no-nonsense sass, and great love and empathy for those around her. Monologue-heavy.

·       Stink Moody - Judy’s little brother. Stink can be very stubborn when he knows what he wants, but is also extremely earnest, excitable and eager to have fun. He definitely doesn’t need any extra sugar in his diet.

·       Mom / Rocky - Mom is helpful and fun-loving, while also being firm and guiding. Rocky is one of Judy’s close friends and classmates.

·       Dad / Frank - Dad is a bit goofy and is happy to let the kids have a little extra fun during the holidays. Frank is one of Judy’s close friends and classmates, and owner of the parrot Cookie.
