ZACH’s adaptation of the Dickens’ classic is a musical sleigh ride, infusing the traditional Victorian story with a score that spans all genres and eras. This family-friendly spectacular creates an infectious spirit that has everyone dancing in the aisles and waving their glowsticks. Celebrate the season with the loving Cratchit family and three soulful ghosts as they take Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey to rediscover his heart and ignite a love for mankind.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL STUDENT AUDITION NOTICE

ZACH Theatre is currently seeking talented singing actors of all ethnicities for our upcoming musical production of A Christmas Carol. Actors local to the Austin, Texas area particularly encouraged to submit. Auditions will all be conducted virtually with callbacks locally the first week of August.

PERSONNEL:

Based on the story by Charles Dickens. Adapted and Directed by Dave Steakley. Musical Direction by Allen Robertson.

REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:

Rehearsals begin October 25th, 2024. Performances begin November 19th, 2024 and close December 31st, 2024, with six to seven shows per week: Tuesdays through Sundays at 7:30 pm and some Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 pm.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION:

We are seeking children of any gender and ethnicity; all actors will be considered for all roles. Please prepare one 16- to 32- bar cut of any song that shows off your vocal range of your choosing.
