ATX Musical Theatre Collective is a group of friends (professional musicians and actors as well as amateurs) who love theatre and want to make friends. Events like this are opportunities for us to share our music!
ATX Musical Theatre Collective concert May 25, 2024 at Mozart's Coffee, Austin.
To be considered for this performance you must be available for the dress rehearsal & performance*
Dress: Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 7-9 pm at TBA school in South Austin
Performance: May 25, 2024 from 7-8:30 pm on the patio at Mozart's Coffee
*If you're not available for these dates, you can still submit and indicate below that you'd like to be considered for future concerts.

Seeking musical theatre singers (18+) of all genders, races, etc. Submit 3-4 up-tempo song ideas (or a duet) in musical theatre style. The number of songs accepted per singer is at the discretion of the director. The total number of solos for the concert will be 16, including opening and closing group numbers.

This is a free concert, and at this time we're unable to pay singers. The venue is paying us enough money to hire a sound engineer for the concert, and we would like to add bass and drums to these concerts (and pay our pianists!).To that end, we are currently looking for sponsors to cover around $400-$600 for each show. To apply:
1. Fill out the form (click HERE).
2. Include a link to a video of you singing in musical theatre style. If you filmed a self-tape for a previous recent audition, feel free to send that vs. filming something new. We prefer you sing with a track, rather than acapella. If you have sung with us previously, you do not need to submit a video (just song ideas).
3. Attach your theatre resume/headshot.
Applications (including video submissions) will close on March 25, 2024 at 7 am. We aim to notify singers who are chosen by the evening of April 7.
We want uptempo songs to keep the crowded engaged, so ballads will not be considered for this event. Each song should be 5 minutes or less, but ideally on the shorter side. We are looking for songs that may be familiar to the audience, although we are also interested in new music!
