The Pulitzer-Prize-Winning Drama Doubt: A Parable is a powerful and intimate drama in which a Bronx Catholic School teacher suspects a recently appointed school principal of inappropriate behavior with a shy male student. Tension between the two primary characters increases as Sister Aloysius seeks to protect and defend the student without obtaining substantial proof of any suspicious improper relations.

How to Prepare:   Please prepare a memorized one minute contemporary dramatic monologue

 

Rehearsals:  Begin March 5, typically Mondays – Wednesdays 7-9:30 PM, and Saturdays 1-4 PM (adjustable times and dates depending on cast schedule) 

Tech Rehearsals:   Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21 (Noon-9 PM both days)

Dress Rehearsals:   Tuesday-Thursday (April 23, 24, 25) Each day 6-11 PM.

Production Dates:    12 Performances; April 26 - May 19, 2024
Every Friday & Saturday at 7:30 pm (6 pm call), and Sundays 2:30 pm (1 pm call)

Compensation:         All actors are offered a stipend.
