Finding Love, A Jennifer Turpin Story.” These collaborations tell the story of both being survivors of child abuse and how they have healed from on going years of trauma and PTSD while over coming the odd to find healing, self love,  and self confidence. These projects focus on the  healing techniques after abuse and finding a romantic life partner who loves and supports you in spite of your trauma and abuse. The combined messages of the play that Emily and Jennifer are sharing is to show the audience that no matter what abuse you have had happen to you, you can choose to heal and have a happy and fulfilled life, that you are not your trauma and what happened to you does not have to define you.

Jennifer is the oldest of 13 children. Known as a survivor of child abuse and torture of the 20/20 house of horrors episode. She is an activist on her tiktock and instagram to her millions of followers. She believes this play, Finding Love, is another great way to share her story and help others. She hopes to help others by sharing her story, letting others know they’re not alone and there is help and hope.

Rehearsal-

Rehearsals begin 2 times a week for 2 to 3 hours each rehearsal, starting January to March, 3 months do to the subject matter we will need extra time to prepare. We will be rehearsing at Austin Film School around actors and directors schedules. We will have a rehearsal schedule set up a head of time so once rehearsal times and dates are set we will not change it. Actors must be professional and stick to the agreed schedule times for rehearsals.

Filming of Virtual play-

Filming will take place second week of March 2024 for 2 to 3 days 5 hours a day, in a private location in Austin TX. We will record the play as if we have a live audience, meaning we will perform the play start to finish while recording the place via camera op. We will do this 2 to 3 times each filming day, perform the play start to finish. Then in post my editor will edit the footage together to make a virtual play release, movie-play. We expect actors to be fully off book, this is not like a normal film set where you can ask for your line. We are filming this as if we have a live theatre audience and expect actors to perform as if there is an audience for the virtual play recording.
