Teaching Artists
by Paramount Story Wranglers
Oct. 10 - Oct. 11 (2023)
The Paramount Theatre (Austin Theatre Alliance) is seeking a diverse group of actors, improvisers, singers, and movers to join the Paramount Story Wranglers, a TYA company that takes the original writings of 3rd grade students and transforms them into a comedy/musical/variety show. The show is performed for the student writers and their school community to uplift and empower the voices of young people (Think SNL, but for the under-10 crowd).
The Story Wranglers serve a diverse group of students, and we want that diversity represented in our ensembles. Black, Indigenous and all Artists of Color are encouraged to audition. Ability to read, comprehend and speak fluently in Spanish is highly desirable but not required. We also welcome queer and gender nonconforming artists, performers in larger bodies and performers with disabilities.
