The Georgetown Palace desires to be as inclusive as possible and we enthusiastically encourage gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender and nonbinary actors to submit to audition for any roles listed. We also seek all races and ethnicities. Our character descriptions on the following pages are gender binary and are written with he/him or she/her. While they are limited in their writing, we hope that anyone who identifies with any of the roles, will come out and audition.
DAVID TUTTLE – a struggling young executive
SAMANTHA TUTTLE – his bride of 6 months
NATALIE WELDON – their neighbor across the hall
WILLIAM WELDON – Natalie’s psychiatrist husband
KRIS KREIGLE – a man with a Holiday delusion
SHEILA – Kris’s doggedly devoted fiancee
POLICEMAN – a determined disciple of Law and Order
*Note: We are open to double casting roles if necessary but would prefer to cast understudies with guaranteed performances. Please note if you are in need of a double cast role or if you are open to an understudy role in your audition sheet.
Auditions will be held Sunday, October 8 starting at 6:00 pm with alclbacks Monday, October 9. Callbacks are by invitation only, and will be posted on the Palace website, but an email with the callback link will be sent to everyone who auditioned when the callback list gets posted online.
- Please prepare a comedic monologue of your choosing, around a minute long, and be prepared to tell a personal holiday story with as much hijinx as possible. It does not have to be memorized but should be prepared. We welcome auditioners that are 18 and older.
- Callbacks will consist of cold reads from the script. Sides will be posted with the callback list.
Auditions are located at the Palace Playhouse, 216 W. 8th Street, Georgetown TX 78626. Initial auditions and callbacks will be on the Playhouse Stage.
Auditions are scheduled online via the Palace website. You will fill out the audition form, sign up for a time, and fill out the conflict calendar, as well as upload a headshot and resume. Questions should be emailed to email@example.com
You will receive an email confirming your appointment. If you are unable to attend any of the audition times, please go ahead and fill out the form and put yourself on the waiting list. Then send us an email and we will try to work with you to schedule an alternative time.

**Please note that auditions may be recorded for use in casting**
- Scripts will be distributed at the first rehearsal, but a link to the digital script will be given with a casting offer.
- Rehearsals will begin on/around October 30.
- Rehearsals are typically held Monday through Thursday from 7:00p-10:00p and Saturday 1:00p-5:00p.
Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. Sometimes ticket demand causes us to add Saturday Matinee performances at 2p or other days/times as can be arranged.
Note that this show will include performances during the week due to the holiday demand.
Performance dates: Dec 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30.
Please make sure to notate all conflicts that you are aware of on your conflict sheet when filling out your audition form. It is difficult to create a rehearsal schedule if we do not know all of your conflicts up front. Adding all of your conflicts after casting could result in removal of the production.
Once casting is completed (typically 2-3 days after callbacks), emails will be sent to the actors that will be offered a role in the production. Once the full cast has accepted, everyone else who auditioned will be notified via email.
