Copper Angel
by Boerne Community Theatre
Feb. 05 - Feb. 06 (2023)
Based on the life of American artist Anna Coleman Ladd, this play takes an unflinching look at the human cost of war and how we are all called upon to "restore the beauty that was lost." The structure of the play is a traditional linear story intercut with "portraits" that share the innermost thoughts of people Anna interacts with throughout her time at a surgical hospital in WWI France.
AUDITIONS will be held Feb. 5 and 6 (both at 7:00PM) for Copper Angel, a prize-winning script from the TNT POPs competition. Emily McClain's drama tells the story of men disfigured during WWI and the doctor who was able to help them recreate faces and their lives. 3 men, 2 women. Allen Rudolph directs.
