upcoming season
by Filigree Theatre

Nov. 17 - Dec. 04 (2022)

FIRE IN DREAMLAND summary (per Dramatist Play Service, Inc.):

“In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, Kate meets a charismatic Dutchman named Jaap, who’s making a film about a different disaster nearly a century earlier: the 1911 fire that burned Coney Island’s Dreamland to the ground. Desperate for a higher purpose, Kate becomes completely involved with Japp, for better or for worse. FIRE IN DREAMLAND is a groundbreaking exploration of what we can create in the face of devastation.”

TIDE summary (per playwright):

“As a child, Lauren tried to rescue a young boy who ultimately drowned in the ocean but was brought back to life "by the power of prayer." His story generated a best-selling book and 10 years later, a documentary about his miraculous recovery is in the works. The producer of the documentary wants to involve Lauren in the story that she was left out of all those years ago but she herself is struggling with her own feelings of fear and faith.”
