upcoming season
by River City Pops
Aug. 30 - Sep. 18 (2022)
This what you can expect as a member of Austin's River City Pops:
- Each year we put on one or two stage shows. We sing, we dance, we have fun. We create our shows from scratch with full group numbers created by our leadership and director, but the majority of our show comes from “specialty” numbers created and produced by group members. This makes every RCP show a truly unique experience.
- We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Members are expected to help with fundraising to the best of their ability through various opportunities both in-person and virtual.
- Our rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7 - 10 pm with occasional Saturday mornings as we get closer to our show date. This fall, we will also use Thursday evenings to prepare for our December gigs in addition to learning show material.

Mama, I'm A BIg Girl Now (2019)
Welcome! We are so excited that you are interested in becoming a member of River City Pops. We believe everyone should have a safe space to express themselves and have fun performing. RCP is a group open to all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, ethnicities, cultures, religions, body sizes, vocal ranges, physical abilities, ages, and neurodivergences. If you are kind, open, and ready to put on a show, we’d love to meet you!
We are excited to present our main stage show in March 2023. Rehearsals for this show will begin October 11, 2022. We also have several winter gigs lined up, which are an additional (optional) opportunity for our members to perform.
Our audition process is fully virtual. Auditions are submitted via this Google form. Directions for the audition process can be found in the Google form as well.
We cannot wait to view your auditions. Thank you for singing and dancing with us!
If you would like to try us out (visit a rehearsal), let us know by contacting info@rivercitypops.org.
We will have a cast meeting on the evening of October 4th followed by an optional social event, though we hope everyone will stick around. Rehearsals for our spring show will begin the following Tuesday.
