Masks are not required but do what makes you feel most comfortable
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.This is a revival and parts have been offered to the previous cast.
The parts of M'Lynn and Truvy aren't available as previous cast members are returning.
Available Characters
Annelle Dupuy-Desoto: (female, 19-25) She is a very shy twenty-year-old hair-dresser. She goes from a very soft-spoken person to a Bible-loving Christian with her heart on her sleeve.
Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie: (female, Roughly 25) She is diabetic. Prettiest girl in town, and loved by all. She has a weird relationship with her mother, and often rebels just for the sake of rebellion.
Clairee Belcher: (female, 60) widow of the former mayor of Chinquapin. She is wealthy and also knows everyone"s business. She is the sarcastic member of the group. She loves to laugh and poke fun at the little things that others cry over. She is very close with Ouiser.
Ouiser Bourdeau (pronounced Weezer): (female, 60) She is a wealthy old bitty. She is a loveably miserable lady, though. Her unique personality and sense of humor is a great relief in the serious scenes. She is very close to Clairee.
The ages listed above are just a gauge of sorts. The director will cast who she feels best fits the role no matter the actor's age.
