Little Women, the Broadway musical
by Christian Community Theater (CCT)
Sep. 27 - Oct. 10 (2021)
Based on Louisa May Alcott's American classic, this Civil War story of love and family stands the test of time and follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.
Little Women guarantees a night filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit. The powerful score soars with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache and hope – the sounds of a young America finding its voice. This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope and everlasting love.

Please keep in mind:
- Auditions are open only to individuals ages 19 and up.
- Ages/ranges in descriptions represent the age for the character, not the age of the actor
- All roles will require strong singing and acting skills, plus some simple dance ability. These roles will also require a great deal of memorization and time commitment for the duration of the production.
- Because Little Women is a universal story, it is not a story that we will tell with a particular look for the March sisters. The theater is an imaginative form, not a literal one. The story of the March sisters is one that appeals and applies to all people, and our casting will reflect that truth, with a cast comprised of a diverse group of actors.
- Auditions are open to any individual who would like to audition for the show and agree with CCT’s Code of Conduct and Behavior standards. You can find that document HERE.
- There is no compensation for any roles and this is a non-Union production.
- CYT Covid Policies will apply to CCT, and those policies are subject to change
