Instead of relishing life after her heart transplant, Joy enters a downward spiral, unsure whether she truly deserves a second chance. Meanwhile, Alice and Hank mourn the loss of their son, Jack, whose heart was used to save Joy. At a friend’s urging, Joy tracks down Jack’s family to find closure. But are Alice, Hank, and their daughter Sammy ready to accept Jack’s death? Based on a true story.


Director Barry Goettl will hold open auditions for the S.T.A.G.E., Inc. 2020-2021 season production of THE TIN WOMAN, a comedy/drama by SEAN GRENNAN.

Auditions will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 14 , 2021 at Krause House Theatre, 1300 Bulverde Road in Bulverde.

Performers are needed for the following roles:

JOY mid-20s, a freelance graphic artist

HANK early 60s, nearing retirement as head of a small building supplies company

JACK 36, an accountant with aspirations of being a professional photographer

ALICE early 60s, mother to the deceased Jack and to Sammy

SAMMY 20s-30s, a preschool teacher and Jack’s younger sister

NURSE/DARLA, 30s-60s, Nurse is very competent if a bit annoying in her approach
