rain falls special on me
by Ground Floor Theatre

Jan. 25 - Feb. 08

When it rains in Austin, Texas, the best place to stay dry through the night is behind the theater. Weather and circumstance bring together Mikey, Snake, Miss Candace, Motor, Mac, and Julie - all of whom are on the street for different reasons, here now to navigate their relationships, dreams, and often, survival.

Ground Floor Theatre is seeking video submissions for the role of JULIE in rain falls special on me written by Lane Michael Stanley and directed by Patti Neff-Tiven.
Interested auditioners should submit a headshot, resume and 1 minute of a contemporary monologue to Patti@GroundFloorTheatre.org by Feb 8, 2021.
Ground Floor Theatre is committed to inclusivity and as such, unless specifically called for in the script, we cast without consideration to ability, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, size, or shape.
JULIE, Late Teens-Early 20’s, biracial Latinx and white. Rippin' and runnin'. Born in Austin, Texas.
The world premiere which was originally planned for 2020 has been rescheduled for live performances May 6 – May 22, 2021, with virtual rehearsals beginning in late March.
