V-Day Presents VOICES
by V-Day

Jan. 12 - Feb. 14 (2021)

VOICES is an interdisciplinary performance arts project grounded in Black women’s stories by V-Day to unify the vision of ending violence against women: cis women, trans women, and non binary people across the African Continent and African Diaspora, led by poet and organizer Aja Monet.

After the submission deadline is complete, the VOICES team will begin sifting through the work to curate the new performance piece, which is set to launch in 2021. VOICES will replace V-Day founder/playwright V Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” within the V-Day campaign, in which activists throughout the US and the world use art and activism to end violence against all women, girls and the planet.

VOICES has extended its deadline for submissions to February 14, 2021.

VOICES is dedicated to providing a platform for Black women writers and performers with the goal to use art to embody and inspire solidarity-making in our collective imagination.
