As You Like It
by Emily Ann Theatre

Jun. 26 (2019)

William Shakespeare’s As You Like It is about a group of royals who are exiled to the forest of Ardenne and, tired of the treachery of the court, adopt the pastoral lives of shepherds. Rosalind, in order to better make her escape, disguises herself as a man—which complicates her budding love with Orlando, and epitomizes the play’s upheaval of class and gender roles.
