CHARACTER BREAKDOWN/DESCRIPTION:

Specific Equity Roles not yet identified for Marisol and Machinal. Pippin Equity roles are Charles, Bertha, and one other TBD.

PERSONNEL: Robert Tolaro, Interim Artistic Director; Susan Finnigan, Music Director (Pippin)

Rehearsal and Performance dates:


Marisol: Rehearsals begin October 7, play runs November 14 - 24, 2019
Machinal: Rehearsals begin January 6, play runs February 13 - 23, 2020
Pippin: Rehearsals begin February 24, academic break 3/16 - 3/22, show runs April 16 - 26, 2020

Preparation: Please prepare a monologue (up to 60 seconds; classical or contemporary) and, if applicable, 32 bars of
a song in the style of the musical. An accompanist will be provided. Resume and headshot required.

Equity Actors unable to make the Equity call may submit a resume and headshot (see contact information). Casting actors from the Austin ETJ only. We are unable to house guest artists from out of town at this time. MMNT operates under an AEA URTA agreement; guest artists are mentors for student actors. Charles
Pippin's demanding father. As the King of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a
sword than breaking bread. He wears his years with great pride.

Age: 50 to 60

Vocal range bottom: G2

Berthe
Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy broad full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to help Pippin and encourages
him to live his life to the fullest.
Gender: female
Age: 67 to 67
Vocal range top: C5
Vocal range bottom: E3
