In Call Me By Your Name, based on a novel by U.S. author André Aciman, Elio Perlman, a precocious 17-year old, falls for his father’s American graduate student, Oliver, over the course of the summer in northern Italy in 1983. 

 

 

 


 

Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, 2 PM-5 PM at the University of Texas at Austin and are by appointment only. Details of exact location will be sent when inquires have been sent in.

 

There will be 2-3 rehearsals between October 28 and November 6 and can be scheduled around actors’ availability.

 

The scene will be acted out in front of the directing workshop on November 7th at the University of Texas at Austin from 2 PM - 2:30 PM for classroom feedback. Availability on November 7th is PARAMOUNT. Please plan accordingly.

 

The shooting date for the scene is projected to be on November 10thbut can be scheduled on a different date to work with actors’ availability. Expect a large block of time for the shooting.

 

Compensation: Non-paid; copy of scene reel for actors will be provided once project is completed. Food and snacks will be provided during the rehearsals and shooting.

ELIO PERLMAN

Open-ethnicity/Age: 16-18; 18 to Mid-20s 

He is a intelligently confident young man who struggles with his emotional side as he comes to terms with his sexuality. 

 

MR. PERLMAN

Open-ethnicity/Age: 40’s to Mid-50’s

A reserved but open-minded father who is a worldly man with an insatiable passion for Greco-Roman history.
